Parent's Night Out

Hey class! Lynn Tupper, the clinical director of the OT Center who came and spoke to us last semester, recently requested volunteers from SOTA for Parent's Night Out at the Houston Area Respite Center, of which she is the program coordinator. Since our next meeting isn't for another month, I wanted to e-mail this information out so you can get involved now if you would like.

Parent's Night Out is every Friday night from 6:30pm to
10:30 pm and meets at Gethsemane United Methodist Church. A typical evening will include games, crafts, music, movies and loads of fun events. The programs are created to offer the participants a great time in a nonsectarian environment. While HARC plans for an inclusion program with a large variety of group activities, HARC also has 1:1 activities for kids who are not ready for group events. This also affords parents a night out to be spent however they wish.

If you're interested in volunteering, you can either e-mail me or Lynn Tupper at harcprogram@harc-hou.org . Visit HARC's website for more information: http://www.harc-hou.org./index.htm.

Let me know if you end up going,
Pam
