The last SOTA meeting of the semester


The last SOTA meeting of the semester and the last SOTA meeting ever for MOT IVs was held on April 28th, 2009. MOT IIs elected new SOTA officers, which will be announced by Caroline in 2 days, and Dr. Smith and Lacey were presented with a token of appreciation for their hard work from the SOTA members.
Job well done, everybody.

Hand Therapist at AOTA Conference





Deborah Schwartz, OTR/L, CHT teaches TWU students about splinting as she puts the finishing touches on a beautiful hand splint using special ORFIT materials. This splint is similar to the radial nerve palsy dynamic splint students recently made in the advanced hand elective class.

Redbud Award Ceremony


On April 20th, 2009, the Redbud Award Ceremony was held. The school of occupational therapy and all of the SOTA's hard workers were recognized at TWU with many nominations and winning in the many categories. Congratulations to all nominees and winners!!!

Occupational therapists help burn victim recover

Dave Clark of Curwensville credits Clearfield Hospital's Rehabilitation Department with helping him regain use of his hands and arms after skin graft surgery.
